Mr. Rishav Saha is a Law graduate with a specialization in IPR laws, currently working as an Associate at L.S Davar & Co., handling trademark opposition and prosecution-related matters. During his academic tenure, he has worked on relevant research papers relating to trademarks, copyright, celebrity laws, sports and media laws. He has also pursued his L.L.M (Masters) in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from O.P Jindal Global University with a dissertation paper on “Anti-Doping Laws in Sports”.
His current role at L.S. Davar & Co. encompasses conducting trademark availability searches, drafting search opinions for clients, attending to examination reports, etc. A large part of his practice focuses on trademark opposition matters, including but not limited to drafting Cease & Desist Notices, Notices of Oppositions, Counter Statements, and Evidence Applications under Rules 45, 46 and 47 as well as appearing before the Trade Marks Registry to attend opposition hearings. He is also a part of the Litigation Team handling litigation matters before the Calcutta High Court.
